At a glance

Dr. Pandit Sri Sidhant Arun Sharma Guruji is an award-winning, ninth-generation Vedic astrologer in Whitefield, Bangalore, with more than 25 years of practice and over 50,000 consultations. His reputation was built in person — but his website wasn't keeping up. It was a basic static HTML page: no content management system, no blog, and no way for a client to book a sitting or pay online.

We rebuilt it from the ground up as a fast, mobile-first Next.js website with a live booking calendar, Razorpay payments, WhatsApp enquiries, and a Journal built for search and AI-search visibility.

The client

Dr. Pandit Sri Sidhant Arun Sharma Guruji practises from Sri Mookambika Jyothishyalaya in Whitefield, Bangalore. Born into a lineage of astrologers, psychic readers and spiritual healers, he began studying the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra at the age of nine — what started as a child's fascination with the night sky became a life's discipline.

Today he reads charts for families across Bangalore and for clients around the world, in Kannada, Hindi, English and Telugu, using classical Parashari and Nadi methods. His consultations span the questions people actually bring to an astrologer: marriage and Kundali Milan, love and relationships, career and business, health, family, legal and property matters, Vastu, dosha and graha shanti (Kaal Sarp, Sade Sati, Pitru dosha, Rahu–Ketu), palmistry and numerology.

The credentials are real and verifiable — Jyotishya Vibhooshana (2024), Jyotishya Ratna (2022), Best Astrologer of the Year (2023), Karnataka Top Influential (2023), and features in Deccan Herald and Mid-Day, with a 4.9★ average across Google, JustDial and Sulekha.

The brief to Aapta Solutions was simple: the practice is world-class, the website isn't. Build one that matches — one that lets people book and pay online, works perfectly on a phone, and can actually be found.

The starting point: a brochure that couldn't convert

The previous site was a basic, hand-coded HTML page. At launch it did the minimum job of a business card on the web — a name, a photo, a phone number. Several years on, that was no longer enough.

The limitations were structural, not cosmetic:

  • No way to book. Every appointment had to go through a phone call or a WhatsApp message, manually, one at a time. There was no live calendar, no self-service slot selection, and no confirmation flow.
  • No way to pay. Consultations were settled in cash or by ad-hoc UPI. There was no secure online payment, which meant no confirmed bookings in advance and more no-shows.
  • No content engine. A static HTML site has no CMS and no blog, so there was nothing to publish, nothing for Google to index beyond a handful of pages, and nothing for an AI engine to cite. For a field where people search constantly — "best astrologer in Bangalore", "Mangal dosha remedy", "kundali matching online" — that's a lot of invisible demand.
  • Weak on mobile. A fixed-width HTML layout doesn't adapt cleanly to the phones that now drive the overwhelming majority of this audience's traffic.
  • Hard to change. Any update meant editing raw HTML by hand — so in practice, almost nothing changed.

The result was a respected practitioner with a national reputation and a website that under-sold him at every step. (For more on when a hand-coded or template site stops paying its way, see our guide on how to choose a WordPress design company in India.)

Our approach: a site that books, takes payment, and gets found

We treated this not as a redesign but as a conversion rebuild. The goal wasn't a prettier brochure — it was a website that turns a stranger's search into a paid, confirmed appointment, with as little friction as possible in between.

Three decisions shaped the build:

  1. Make booking and paying the core of the site, not an afterthought. The whole experience is organised around a clear path: choose a consultation, pay, pick a slot, share your birth details, meet Guruji.
  2. Build on a modern, fast foundation. We built on Next.js so the site is quick to load, mobile-first by default, and easy for us to extend — rather than a static page nobody can safely touch.
  3. Treat visibility as a feature. Structured data, a Journal, clean metadata and AI-readiness were designed in from the start, so the site competes for both Google rankings and AI-search citations.

The build

Tech stack

  • Next.js (App Router, React) — a fast, component-based foundation with a mobile-first responsive layout that adapts to every screen size.
  • Online appointment booking — a live availability calendar. Clients pick a real open slot and receive an instant confirmation and a reminder, removing the manual back-and-forth entirely.
  • Razorpay payments — secure online payment by UPI, card or netbanking, taken at the point of booking so a sitting is confirmed and prepaid rather than tentative.
  • Interakt (WhatsApp Business API) — a "WhatsApp Guruji" path for people who prefer to start a conversation, wired through Interakt rather than a raw link.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads — proper measurement and conversion tracking, so marketing spend can be tied to real bookings.
  • A Journal (blog) — a content engine the old site never had, giving the practice a way to answer the questions people search for and to compound its search and AI-search footprint over time.

What a visitor can now do

  • Browse clear consultation options with transparent pricing — from Quick Guidance (one pressing question, 20 minutes) to a Detailed Kundali Reading (a full 60-minute chart analysis), each priced inclusive of taxes.
  • Book and pay in four steps — choose the reading, pay securely, pick a time slot from the live calendar, and send birth details before the sitting.
  • Choose in person or online — a seat at Whitefield, or a video consultation from anywhere.
  • See the proof — awards, press features and a live wall of 4.9★ reviews, right where a hesitant first-time client needs the reassurance.

Faster and better on every device

The old fixed-width HTML page was built for a desktop web that barely exists for this audience any more. The rebuild is mobile-first: the layout, the booking flow and the payment step are all designed for a thumb on a phone first, and scale up to desktop second.

On a modern Next.js foundation, pages are lean and quick to load, images are served in efficient formats, and the booking and payment flows stay smooth on a mid-range Indian smartphone over a patchy mobile connection — which is exactly where most of these decisions actually get made. (For the specific techniques behind a fast Indian website, see our write-up on WordPress speed optimisation for India — the same Core Web Vitals principles apply to any stack.)

The practical effect: a visitor who lands on the site from a Google search or an Instagram bio link can go from "I have a question about my marriage" to a paid, confirmed booking in under two minutes, without leaving their phone.

Built for lead generation

A faster site is only useful if it converts. Every page is organised to move a visitor toward a booking or an enquiry:

  • Two clear primary actions everywhere — Book a Consultation and WhatsApp Guruji — so there's always an obvious next step.
  • Trust before the ask — 25+ years, 50,000+ consultations, named awards, press features and a 4.9★ review wall, placed where they do the most work.
  • Transparent pricing removes the single biggest hesitation for a first-time astrology client: what will this cost me?
  • A guided four-step flow that makes booking feel simple and official, not like a leap of faith.

In the months after relaunch, the client reports a 25% increase in leads, form fills and appointment bookings — the direct result of replacing a static brochure with a site engineered to convert, on the device people actually use.

SEO, GEO and AEO: built to be found and cited

Being faster doesn't matter if nobody finds the site. We built it to compete on three fronts — classic Google search (SEO), generative engines like ChatGPT and Gemini (GEO), and answer engines that quote a single source (AEO). The approach mirrors our full Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) 2026 guide:

  • Structured data (schema.org) describing the practice as a real-world entity — the astrologer, the location in Whitefield, the services offered, and the consultations as priced offerings — so Google and AI engines can read it as a business, not just a page.
  • A Journal that answers the exact questions people ask — Mangal dosha, Kundali Milan, Sade Sati, the right muhurta — in direct, quotable language. Question-shaped content is what AI answer engines lift and cite.
  • Clean per-page metadata, titles and descriptions, and a mobile-first build — the technical foundations Google now treats as table stakes for ranking.
  • Local focus on "astrologer in Bangalore / Whitefield", matching how the audience actually searches, across the languages the practice serves.

The goal is concrete: when someone in Bangalore asks Google — or asks ChatGPT — "who's a good astrologer in Whitefield?", the practice has the technical foundations to be the answer. You can measure any site's AI-readiness the same way we do, with our free GEO readiness scanner.

Outcome — the numbers

Before (basic HTML) After (Next.js rebuild)
Online appointment booking None — phone/WhatsApp only Live calendar with instant confirmation
Online payment None Razorpay — UPI, card, netbanking
Content / blog None A Journal built for SEO + GEO
Mobile experience Fixed-width HTML Mobile-first, responsive
Measurement None GA4 + Google Ads conversion tracking
Leads, forms & bookings Baseline +25% (client-reported)

The practice went from a website that merely listed a phone number to one that quietly does sales and scheduling around the clock — booking sittings, taking payment, answering questions and building search visibility while Guruji is with a client.

The takeaway

For independent professionals who sell their time — astrologers, doctors and clinics, lawyers, coaches, consultants — a static HTML brochure leaves money on the table every single day. The people searching for you are on their phones, ready to act, and a site that can't book or take payment forces them back to a phone call many of them never make.

A modern, mobile-first site that lets someone choose, pay and book in two minutes — and that's built to rank on Google and be cited by AI — turns that same traffic into confirmed, prepaid appointments. That's the difference the Arun Sharma Guruji rebuild delivered, and it's the pattern we build for across service businesses.

If you run a practice that lives on booked appointments, let's talk about an ongoing technology partnership, or get a tailored quote.

Frequently asked questions

What platform is the new Arun Sharma Guruji website built on?

It's built on Next.js (React), with a mobile-first responsive design. Appointment booking runs on a live availability calendar, payments are handled by Razorpay (UPI, card and netbanking), WhatsApp enquiries go through Interakt, and the site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads for measurement — replacing a basic static HTML page that had none of this.

Why move off a basic HTML website?

A hand-coded HTML site can show information, but it can't do anything — no online booking, no payments, no blog, and no easy way to update content. For a practice that runs on booked consultations, that means every appointment depends on a manual phone call and the website earns almost nothing. Rebuilding on a modern stack turned the site into a 24/7 booking and payment channel.

How does online booking and payment work on the site?

In four steps: a client chooses a consultation, pays securely online (UPI, card or netbanking via Razorpay), picks an open time slot from the live calendar, and sends their birth details before the sitting. They get an instant confirmation and a reminder — so bookings are confirmed and prepaid rather than tentative.

Is the new website faster and better on mobile?

Yes. The old site was a fixed-width HTML page built for desktop; the new one is mobile-first on a lean Next.js foundation, so it loads quickly and the booking and payment flows stay smooth on a phone over an ordinary mobile connection — which is where most of this audience actually books.

Did the rebuild improve leads and bookings?

The client reports a 25% increase in leads, form fills and appointment bookings since the relaunch. The gain comes from making it effortless to book and pay on a phone, backed by clear pricing and prominent trust signals (awards, press and a 4.9★ review wall).

That's exactly what the SEO/GEO/AEO work is for. The site ships structured data, clean metadata, a question-answering Journal and a mobile-first build — the foundations Google rewards and AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity look for when deciding which source to cite. You can check any site's AI-readiness with our free GEO scanner.

Can you build something like this for my practice?

Yes — if you're a service professional who books appointments, this pattern fits especially well. We can rebuild your site with online booking, payments and the SEO/GEO foundations to get found. Get a tailored quote or read about an ongoing technology partnership.
