A small team, 19 years of real work, 1100+ clients.
Aapta started in 2007 as a two-person web studio in Bangalore. Nineteen years on, we still do the same thing — build, host and grow websites that make actual money. No pods. No hand-offs. No one you can't reach on WhatsApp.
1,100+ real clients · since 2007
The boring version is: we kept our heads down and kept shipping.
We didn't take venture money. We didn't pivot to something trendier. We didn't hire account managers to be the buffer between clients and engineers.
What we did: build WordPress sites for small businesses in 2007, then medium businesses in 2012, then enterprises and overseas clients by 2018. Every year we got a little better at speed, a little better at security, a little better at spotting which projects we'd regret taking on.
Today Aapta runs on a senior-only team across Bangalore, Hyderabad, London and Sheridan — shipping WordPress, cloud hosting, SEO, and more recently AI-powered workflows to clients in eleven countries.

WordPress specialism
Focus narrows to WordPress — custom themes, plugins, WooCommerce. It becomes the bulk of our work.
Managed hosting
Clients keep asking why their hosts are slow and flaky. We start offering our own managed cloud stack.
Going international
First clients in the UK and US. Teams learn to work across time zones and price in three currencies.
Performance and SEO
Core Web Vitals lands. We build an SEO and speed-optimisation practice around what actually ranks in India and beyond.
AI and automation
We start building AI assistants, automated workflows and custom tools — for our clients and for ourselves.
Where we are now
1100+ clients, 11 countries, 300+ custom WordPress builds, and a team that still answers the phone within hours.

Six principles, no exceptions
Operating rules we've stuck to for 19 years. If we break one, clients leave — so we don't.
You talk to the people doing the work
No account manager in the middle, no offshore pod you've never met. You message the engineer, designer or strategist actually building your project. Responses in hours, not days.
Senior-only, by default
Every project has senior engineers, senior designers and a strategist. We don't move juniors in after you sign. If it's a day-1 senior team, it stays a day-1 senior team.
No lock-in, ever
Your code, your data, your domain, your hosting — all exportable, all on open standards. If you decide to leave, we help you move. Most don't. That's the point.
We tell you when to stop
If a project won't work, or we're not the right team for it, we say so. We've turned down more work than we've taken. Saying no to the wrong project is how we protect the right ones.
Revenue is the metric
Not traffic. Not rankings. Not pageviews. We measure work by what it does to your bottom line — sales, leads, sign-ups, retention. If it doesn't move one of those, we probably shouldn't do it.
We're still here after launch
Most agencies disappear once the invoice is paid. We don't. Maintenance, security, SEO, performance, and the occasional 2am incident call — we're on it for as long as you need us.
Dharmendra Asimi
I started Aapta in 2007 because I kept seeing the same thing — small businesses paying agencies a lot of money for websites that didn't work. Slow, insecure, overbuilt, and never touched again after launch.
Two decades in, not much has changed about that problem. What's changed is our depth. I've personally shipped WordPress for startups, WooCommerce for retailers doing a few crore in monthly GMV, and cloud hosting stacks that run without fire drills. I've also written plenty of bad code, hired wrong, and lost clients I probably deserved to lose. Both sets taught me what works.
Today I spend my time on the things I care about most: picking the right projects, keeping our standards tight, and doing work my team can be proud to put their name on. Everything else — account managers, sales funnels, upsells — I've intentionally kept small.
If you're reading this, odds are you want a team that takes your project seriously and tells you the truth about it. That's most of what we've been doing for 19 years.
