Engagement: Website rebuild & performance re-engineering — WordPress + Elementor → near-static Next.js Industry: IT training & certification Stack: Next.js on Vercel (near-static, edge-cached) · WhatsApp & enquiry lead capture · structured content Result: The page-builder bloat removed and the site rebuilt extremely fast, on every device

At a glance

Inter Networkz is a long-running Bangalore IT training institute — a brand of Covenant Network Technologies Pvt Ltd — training students, engineers and professionals in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), cloud, cyber security and AI since 2005. Its website worked, but it was heavy: built on WordPress with a custom theme and page builders like Elementor, it carried all the builder-generated code that makes a site slow to load.

We rebuilt it as a near-static Next.js site — stripping the builder and plugin bloat, prerendering the pages, and serving them from Vercel's edge — so the same content now loads fast on the devices students actually use.

Client Inter Networkz (Covenant Network Technologies Pvt Ltd), Bengaluru
Previous platform WordPress + custom theme + Elementor / page builders
Core problem Builder bloat → slow page loads
New platform Near-static, prerendered Next.js on Vercel
Outcome A far lighter, far faster site built for conversions and search

The client

Inter Networkz has trained students, engineers and experts for over two decades — Learn, Implement, Grow — from its Bangalore campus and, increasingly, online to a global audience. As a brand of Covenant Network Technologies Pvt Ltd, it runs private, live, 1:1 online coaching with super-certified trainers across a serious curriculum: Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), cloud technologies, AI & machine learning, cyber security, a Master Diploma and graduate programs — backed by authorised training and certification partnerships including Pearson VUE, CompTIA and Microsoft, and a track record it's proud of (100+ CCIE graduates).

For an institute like this, the website is the top of the funnel: it runs on demo bookings and enquiries, much of it driven by paid traffic. And when you pay for every click, the speed of the page that click lands on isn't a nicety — it's economics.

The starting point: convenient to build, expensive to run

The previous site was built the way a great many business sites are: WordPress, a custom theme, and page builders such as Elementor layered on top. That stack is easy and flexible to build with — which is exactly why it's everywhere — but it comes with a well-known cost at runtime:

  • Builder bloat. Page builders like Elementor generate deeply nested markup and ship large bundles of CSS and JavaScript to render a layout the browser then has to assemble on every visit. Stacked on a custom theme and the usual plugins, that's a lot of weight on every page.
  • Slow load times. All that code has to be downloaded, parsed and executed before a visitor sees a usable page. On the mid-range phones most prospective students browse on, that delay is felt — and it's precisely where an impatient, ad-sourced visitor bounces.
  • Conversion and ad-spend drag. For a site whose job is to turn paid clicks into demo bookings, a slow landing page means a lower conversion rate and a higher effective cost per enrolment — the bloat was quietly taxing the marketing budget.
  • Maintenance overhead. A WordPress-plus-builder-plus-plugins stack is a lot of moving parts to keep updated and secure.

The content and the courses were fine. The delivery was the problem. The brief was blunt: keep what the institute offers, and make the site fast.

Our approach: strip it back to near-static

Rather than swap one builder for another, we rebuilt the site on Next.js and took it as close to static as a modern site gets. The principle: do the work once, ahead of time — not on every visitor's device.

  • No page builder, no plugin runtime. The Elementor and plugin layer was removed entirely and replaced with a lean, hand-built front end.
  • Prerendered and near-static. Pages are generated ahead of time and served as ready-made HTML, so there's almost nothing for the browser to compute on arrival.
  • Edge-cached delivery. The site is served from Vercel's global edge network, so pages arrive from a location near the visitor rather than from a single origin server.

The result is a site that behaves, for the visitor, like a fast static page — while still being easy for the team to maintain.

The build

Tech stack

  • Next.js on Vercel — a custom, component-based front end, server-prerendered and effectively static, with no theme or builder runtime to execute on each request.
  • Edge-cached, global delivery — served from Vercel's CDN, which matters for an institute training a worldwide audience.
  • Streamlined lead capture — a free demo / enquiry flow, prominent WhatsApp and click-to-call, and a Talk to an expert path, so an interested visitor can act in one tap.
  • Structured content — courses and certifications, a clear three-step enrolment path (talk to an advisor → plan your schedule → training demonstration), certificate verification, student testimonials, and a blog.
  • Clean structured data + sitemap — so search engines can read the institute and its courses properly.

What a visitor can now do

  • Scan the full curriculum fast — Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), cloud, AI & ML, cyber security, diplomas and graduate programs — without waiting on a heavy page.
  • Book a free demo of the live online delivery in a couple of taps.
  • Verify a certificate and read real student reviews — the trust signals that matter for a training decision.
  • Reach an advisor instantly via WhatsApp or call.

The speed story — why near-static wins here

This rebuild is, at its heart, a performance project — so it's worth being concrete about what changed. The old site asked every visitor's browser to download and run a page builder's output before showing a usable page. The new one doesn't: the page is already built, cached at the edge, and served near-instantly, with only the minimal JavaScript the experience actually needs.

For a training institute, that speed compounds in three ways:

  1. Better ad economics. Faster landing pages convert more of the paid traffic the institute already pays for — more demos booked for the same spend.
  2. More mobile enrolments. Students browse and book on phones over everyday mobile networks; a light, near-static page loads where a heavy builder page stalls.
  3. Stronger rankings. Core Web Vitals are a Google ranking input, and a near-static site clears them comfortably — so the institute earns more of the organic traffic it used to buy.

(The same Core Web Vitals discipline underpins every build we ship — see our note on website speed optimisation.)

SEO, GEO and AEO: found for the courses that matter

Being fast is only half of discovery; the site also has to be found. We built Inter Networkz to compete on classic search and on AI-driven discovery alike, the way we approach every project in our Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) 2026 guide:

  • Course- and local-intent structure — built around how learners actually search: "CCIE training in Bangalore", "CCNP online live coaching", "cyber security course Bangalore".
  • Structured data and a clean sitemap so search engines can read the institute, its courses and its content properly.
  • A blog that answers real questions — "everything you need to know about CCNA", CCNP and CCIE question explainers — the kind of direct, useful content that ranks on the long tail and that AI answer engines lift and cite.
  • A fast, mobile-first, prerendered build — the technical baseline Google now rewards, and which the old builder site couldn't reach.

You can measure any site's AI-readiness the same way we do, with our free GEO readiness scanner.

Outcome — before and after

Before (WordPress + Elementor) After (near-static Next.js)
Platform WordPress + custom theme + page builders Next.js, near-static, on Vercel
Front-end delivery Builder markup + bundles, per request Prerendered HTML, edge-cached
Page weight Heavy (builder CSS/JS) Light — builder bloat removed
Load speed Slow, especially on mobile Extremely fast
Maintenance WordPress + plugins + builder Lean, low-maintenance
Discoverability Constrained Structured data, sitemap, blog

Same institute, same courses — now on a foundation that loads fast on every device and gives the marketing budget a fairer return.

The takeaway

Page builders like Elementor are convenient to build with and expensive to run. They put a lot of code between your visitor and your content, and for a site whose job is to convert paid clicks into bookings, that weight shows up directly in slower pages, lower conversion rates and higher ad costs. Rebuilding near-static — prerendered, edge-cached, with the builder bloat removed — fixes the economics without giving up anything the business actually needs.

That's what we delivered for Inter Networkz — part of a run of performance-first rebuilds alongside Flamingo Lifestyles, The Global Economics, Nishka Skin & Hair Clinic, Epic Gymnastics Academy, Arun Sharma Guruji and The Platos School.

Frequently asked questions

What platform is the new Inter Networkz website built on?

It's a near-static Next.js site hosted on Vercel — pages are prerendered and served from the edge, with no page builder and no plugin runtime. This replaced a WordPress site built with a custom theme and page builders such as Elementor.

Why move off WordPress and Elementor?

Page builders like Elementor are flexible to design with, but they generate heavy, deeply nested markup and ship large CSS and JavaScript bundles that the browser must process on every visit. On a WordPress site with a custom theme and plugins, that adds up to slow page loads — especially on mobile. Rebuilding near-static removes that weight.

What does "near-static" mean, and why is it faster?

It means the pages are generated ahead of time and served as ready-made HTML from a CDN, rather than being assembled on each request by a theme, a page builder and plugins. There's almost nothing for the visitor's browser to compute, so the page appears almost immediately — much faster than a builder-rendered WordPress page.

Is the new site actually faster?

Yes — that was the whole point of the rebuild. Removing the Elementor and plugin layer and serving prerendered, edge-cached pages makes the site far lighter and quicker to load, particularly on the mobile connections most prospective students use.

Did the rebuild keep all the courses and content?

Yes. The full curriculum — Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), cloud, AI & ML, cyber security, diplomas and graduate programs — along with the free-demo flow, certificate verification, student testimonials and the blog, all carried over onto the faster platform.

How do prospective students get in touch now?

Through a streamlined lead flow: a free demo / enquiry request, prominent WhatsApp and click-to-call, and a Talk to an expert path — so an interested visitor can reach an advisor in a single tap.

Can you make my slow WordPress or Elementor site fast like this?

Yes — rebuilding a bloated WordPress or page-builder site as a fast, near-static Next.js site is exactly this kind of project. Get a tailored quote or read about an ongoing technology partnership.
